Quinoa Salad with Salmon

I try to discover new ingredients for dinners and some never heard of. Found this new ingredient called quinoa and looked interesting as these are seeds & not cereals.

Went on a hunt to the grocery shop and found it in the organic section (so the double healthy version). Don’t know from where I became this health freak especially when I still love to eat deep fried things  :p


  1. Quinoa seeds – 1/2 cup

  2. Grated cucumber – 3/4th cup

  3. Finely chopped onions – 1/4th cup

  4. Chopped chillies

  5. Olive Oil – 1 tsp

  6. Crushed pepper & salt to taste

  7. Finely chopped mint leaves

Wash quinoa seeds and drain. Boil the quinoa seeds in water for about 5-10 minutes and strain.

Mix all the remaining ingredients.

I had this with grilled salmon for extra filling ;).

PS : Most of the time I am so excited to cook and eat that my photos turn out to be an after thought, which is clearly reflected in all my recipe blogs. On way to improve.
