Grill Drilli

My little niece (not little anymore) struggles to eat veggies and this holiday I decided to make something interesting for her which has veggies and tasty too. Came up with this idea of grilled cutlets. But I did the tawa roasted version for her as total oil less grill would have been too much of a torture for her. My niece claimed she liked it & ate it too, but don’t know if she was being sooper sweet and not hurt me 🙂

So here it is Lauki carrot mint cutlets

  • Grated Lauki (bottle gaurd)
  • lauki
  • Grated Carrots
  • Chopped onions
  • Mashed medium size potato (just for binding purpose)
  • Grated ginger
  • Finely chopped mint leaves
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Crushed fennel seeds
  • Crushed pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • one beaten egg
  • Fine Bread crumbs

Heat one tsp of oil in a pan, add ginger and onions and then grated veggies and saute for few minutes till the raw taste disappears. Add potatoes , leaves and the powders and mix well. Now make small patties in any shape you like.


Dip these patties in egg and coat it with bread crumbs and cook them either in tawa with very little oil or grill them in oven for 20 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.
